Stephen Dinsmore was born on July 7, 1952 in Omaha, Nebraska. He received his BA from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and works as a representational painter, creating paintings that often border on abstraction. Dinsmore stated concerning his works, "They often include something intimate and something vast; a feeling, mood, or atmosphere; color and/or tonal nuance; a sense of a place seen, remembered, or imagined."
