Jane Golding Marie (b. 1951)
Jane Golding Marie was born
May 12, 1951 in Stratton, Nebraska and received her BA from Kearney State
College in 1972. She was an elementary school teacher in Marquette Consolidated
Schools from 1973 to 1986. Marie's quilting and fiber techniques became well
known after her participation with Judy Chicago in The Birth Project in 1982.
Her forms are usually abstract, yet all tell a specific story.
