Cliff Hollestelle
Born and raised in Nebraska, Cliff received formal art training from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where he earned a BFA. He also has a M.Ed. in Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Among Cliff's numerous awards are Best of Show at the Ward World Championship Wildfowl competition in Ocean City, Maryland; the international Decoy Contest in Davenport, Iowa; and the Desoto Wildlife Art Show. Cliff has been the Nebraska Ducks Unlimited Artist of the Year, and in 1999 was the featured artist for Nebraskaland Days' Governor's Western and Wildlife Art Show. He and his wife, Marcia, currently live in Lincoln, Nebraska. |
Hal Holoun
Hal Holoun was born and raised in Ord, Nebraska. He earned a BA from Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska, and then earned an MA from the University of Wyoming. Mr. Holoun currently lives in Bellevue, Nebraska, where he continues to paint the Nebraska landscape. His professional experience prior to 1980 includes teaching in Nebraska and New Mexico, and as a museum professional in Nebraska and Colorado. His recent solo and invitational exhibitions encompass much of the United States and include traveling exhibitions like "Plains Pictures" which was a collaborative venture between the Smithsonian Institution and the University of Iowa. |
