Elizabeth Dolan (1887–1948)

Elizabeth Dolan was born in Ft. Dodge, Iowa but grew up and spent her artistic career in Lincoln, Nebraska. She began her study of art with Sarah Hayden at the University of Nebraska. She later graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago and studied at the Art Students League, New York, the Julian Academy, Paris and at the Fontainebleau. She exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1925. Ms. Dolan is most well-known for a series of murals that she did for the Nebraska State Museum in Morrill Hall on the campus of the Univeristy of Nebraska-Lincoln and in the Nebraska State Capital Building.
