Learning Days for Schools
The Museum of Nebraska Art is an education resource with its collection of Nebraska Art of over 5,000 works spanning a period of 200 years. A Learning Day at MONA is available for schools upon request. At least four weeks advance notice is required to make a reservation. The student number accommodated is limited to 75. In this educational setting subjects are taught across discipline lines to students divided into groups of no more than 25. Instructors have a studio arts, an education, or a docent training background. Three activities proceed concurrently throughout the day. For example, students may do a studio art activity, a creative writing lesson, and an interactive Museum tour. Learning activities are especially designed for the students’ grade level and target a specific exhibition or selected art works. Cost: $125 for 3 activities and $100 for 2 activities.
