Spirit – A Celebration of Art
in the Heartland
March 31 and April 1, 2006
Spirit is a biennial exhibition and art auction to benefit
the Museum of Nebraska Art. With a wide variety of art from some of the
finest Nebraska artists.
The subject matter, media, and styles range from traditional to contemporary.
With artworks expected to sell at prices ranging from $250 to $20,000,
there was truly something to appeal to everyone!
Twenty-nine of the most exciting “Nebraska connected” artists
working today presented up to 5 artworks each for sale. Media ranged
from prints, to watercolor and oil paintings, to bronze sculpture. The “live” auction
featured 29 art pieces, while the others were sold in a silent
